My background

am a passionate and creative person with a wide experience of teaching languages to adults, teenagers and children. I have excellent organisational skills and am driven by my enthusiasm for instilling the satisfaction I experience in communication in each of my learners. As a language learner myself, I have first hand experience of the language learning journey and common difficulties. I love working with people and have an encouraging and enthusiastic approach.

Experience

I am a fully qualified secondary languages teacher. I have worked in various schools across Scotland and in France both as a French language teacher and an English language teacher. I love connecting and working with people and am passionate about supporting learners on their paths to linguistic success. I have worked with total beginners right up to exam level students with a high success rate. I believe in encouraging my students through a variety of methods in order to build their confidence and proficiency in the language.
As well as classroom teaching, I have a range of experience in tutoring various levels of French to adult learners, families and younger children. I have also taught English to refugees in Scotland on a one to one basis, in small groups or as a larger classroom group.
