My background

I have excellent communication and listening skills. I have personally tutored my two sons from Primary to GCSE in Science , Physics, Chemistry, Biology English Language, English Literature, History and Geography. At the City Central Library I was taught a IT tutor for four years teaching on 1 to 1 basis basic IT skills from learning to use the keyboard through to using the internet. I have been Lead Computer Tutor for Age UK. I had two groups of 12 - 16 elderly people to whom I have taught IT skills twice a week. I have also taught people IT skills on 1 to 1 basis. I am working for Keele Medical School in assisting Tutors to teach Undergraduate and Postgraduate Medical Students. I am also working as a Supply Teacher in Secondary Schools around Stoke-on-Trent teaching various subjects. My lessons are clearly planned over a one hour period covering all the essential points in the lessons. I would make sure that when I am teaching students online that they would clearly understand each point and topic before moving onto the next topic. In the past I have done this with my sons, and constantly do this at the Library and with my Age UK teaching Groups. I believe my O'Levels and A'Levels, Degree and my Level 3 Award in Education and Training make me very suitable as a Tutor. I am very aware of the the Curriculum that is being taught in schools today. The Curriculum for GCSE's is undergoing a major over haul with a new grading system being introduced for GCSE's and A'Levels. I belive all students have the potential to acheive A's and A*'s in all their subjects both at GCSE and A'Levels. I have taught my sons to clearly acheive this which is in their potential. Furthermore I also teach English Language at Functional Skills Level 1 ,Level 2 and Entry Level 3 .
