My background

Mature semi retired and in my last academic year with the Open University studying Classics towards a BA Degree in Arts and Humanities. Over 10 years experience as a learning facilitator supporting student within the academic school curriculum and overseas students studying English as a second language. TEFL Certificate qualified. Flexible with hours and days and prefer online teaching. Passionate about inspiring young people to 'learn' and enjoy History, English Language and Literature as well as other subjects requiring academic writing skills and understanding of presentation and context. Patient good-humored and imaginative coupled with reliability and organised lesson plans. Open to supporting mature learners with English speaking , writing and reading skills .

Experience

5 years experience with in Secondary School re: Learning support and over eight years teaching English as a foreign language.

Qualifications

GCSE all subjects : English language/Literature/Geography/Religious knowledge/Biology/History/Mathematics. RGN qualification. TEFL Trinity College Certificate, last year of a BA degree - Classical Studies Arts & Humanities. High level passes throughout.
