Aspiring learner and teacher. I am a first-year student at the University of St. Andrews majoring in Modern History and International Relations. I speak 5 languages at varying levels of fluency, with English and Cantonese being my strongest languages. I am extremely passionate about helping students achieve their dreams and develop academic skills to cope with this ever-changing 21st century. My hobbies are jogging, politics, reading and learning languages. Do not hesitate to message me!
I have been actively involved in school affairs. Throughout my secondary life, I have been a house captain for 2 years and a school prefect for 4 years, meaning that I had experiences in working alongside peers, students and teachers. I was the club manager for the History Bowl Club at my school, which is a competition about history that takes place annually between schools in Hong Kong. I have been responsible for recruiting and training students with a keen interest in history, showing my engagement with the field of history. Furthermore, I have spent one-month volunteering as an English teacher for AccessHK, an organisation that aims to help disadvantaged primary school students in Hong Kong receive proper education in English, giving me experience in teaching kids.
