My background

Having completed my A-levels at a leading London sixth (Harris Westminster Sixth form form in partnership with the top private school Westminster School) my love for History has grown. I teach History because I have a passion for the subject. I believe History should not be just taught primarily for an exam. Students should find History enjoyable and engaging after all it is a subject that challenges ideas, viewpoints and perspectives. There is no right nor wrong answer in History, it is indeed a thought provocative subject and if you do choose to tutor with me I can say my lessons will be fun and engaging and I will certainly do all I can to get the best out of you.

I care for all my students and want the very best for them. It does not matter if you are flying in the subject or struggling to master the skillset; I cater for each individual student and will do all I can to ensure you are prepped for school assessments and the real exam! Exams have become more demanding and challenging, I like you was forced to quickly familiarise myself with these changes and I hit A* in my A-Levels and a A* in my GCSE's.

Experience

During the busy A-Level History coursework I read over at least 10 pieces of coursework for my peers as many wanted my feedback to ensure they could hit the top band of marks. I like to help people and offered the highest level of feedback to my peers. Criticism was constructive as I knew they were capable of hitting the highest marks but were just missing a little something to get them there. Although it was a busy time I was able to manage both my own coursework and to also give feedback to the many students who requested it.

During GCSE's i'd often organise small groups of History revision sessions where we discussed, consolidated and quizzed each other on an area of the specification we were unsure about. This helped us recognise our weaknesses and ensured we were exam prepped.

These experiences have shown I am able to demonstrate high levels of commitment to my subjects and an even higher level of commitment to my students and peers.
