My background

I am an experienced and dynamic English teacher. I use a student-centred and communicative approach which puts the student at the centre of the educative process and builds their skills and responsibility for their own learning. I find this method to be the most effective way to teach.

Experience

I have been an English teacher for 10 years. I have taught all levels of students, from beginner to advanced. In recent years, I have focussed my efforts on becoming more skilled and knowledgeable in exam preparation. I have over three years experience in teaching IELTS preparation and four years in teaching FCE and CAE exam preparation.

Qualifications

I have BA and MA degrees in arts subjects. I have a CELTA which qualifies me to teach English as a foreign language to adults. I am currently enrolled on a PGCE in secondary English which will enable me to teach English language and literature to secondary pupils. I will finish this qualification in July 2020.
