My Background

Patient and experienced primary teacher

I am an experienced primary school teacher living in Midlothian. I enjoy teaching all subjects taught at school, with a particular passion for numeracy and maths. Problem solving skills and critical thinking skills are important for later years and so this is something I proactively try to encourage in both my teaching and tutoring. I am also very patient by nature and use this to create a calm and positive environment where children feel comfortable to try new things.

Subjects I tutor include numeracy, maths, reading, writing, social studies, languages (French and Italian) as well as the expressive arts.

I am a mother of two young children and so will be taking a short career break. This will give me an opportunity to explore tutoring in more depth and develop positive one to one relationships with young learners.
