My background

I am an experienced Senior Lecturer in English Literature. I have worked in UK higher education for over 15 years and have taught at the universities of Southampton, Cambridge and Huddersfield. I am also a secondary English teacher in Cambridgeshire and an experienced tutor (both online and in person) working for English schools and UK and international tutoring agencies. I have a PhD in English Literature from the University of Cambridge. I held research positions in English literature at Pembroke College, Cambridge and the Faculty of English, University of Cambridge and was College Lecturer and Director of Studies in English Literature at Newnham College, Cambridge. I currently teach eighteenth-century and Romantic period literature at the University of Cambridge.
