My background

I'm Liz and have been working with children/young people since I was 18. I studied psychology, specialising in child psychology, and worked in foster care for some years in Hungary. Teaching found me in London where I lived for 10 years, and as I was always passionate about making a difference, it stayed with me for a long time. I worked with different age groups and levels, including special education.
I believe communication is very important and speaking one, two, three.. foreign languages is a key to immerse ourselves in other cultures. At the moment I am living in Panama and experiencing my learning path with Spanish:)
I am a very patient teacher who can be also lively and motivating. I like to work as a team with my students, set and achieve goals together.
During my travels in Latin-America I often helped locals with their English skills, grammar, vocabulary and conversation.

Experience

My main teaching experience was in London at City of Westminster College, where had a role of a course tutor. I handled two groups, their course planners, the students' individual learning plans as well as managed a team of learning support assistants.
Since I have been travelling I taught English in various places in Mexico, Guatemala and Panama as part of a work-exchange program.
