My background

Hi there! My name is Christine, and I am a Hungarian/American bilingual graduate, having just finished my Masters in International Political Economy. Before that, I obtained my undergraduate degrees in Psychology and Sociology, finishing in the top 5% of my class of 11,000 students. My passion lies in continued education, as I believe we never stop learning. I am native in both English and Hungarian and able to communicate in French and German. I am eager to tutor in subjects such as Social Sciences, History and English, and would cherish the opportunity to make a change through education.

Experience

Throughout my undergraduate degree, I have worked as teaching assistant to some of the best researchers and lecturers in my departments. This involved a variety of tasks including structuring and evaluating classroom discussion boards, organising testing for students, as well as serving as someone to whom students can come for advice.

I have also spent the majority of my time during my studies volunteering for a crisis/suicide hotline, working around the clock to provide an empathetic, listening ear and a safe environment.

Additionally, I have successfully been selected for and completed three internships for the U.S. Dept. of State, as well as having worked as content and copy editor for both online news sites and a budding author.

I have had the privilege to undertake foreign aid work in the country of Senegal for a brief time before my internships, which has provided me with a breadth of cultural and linguistic opportunities to exercise my French skills and love for teaching.
