My background

I am a creative English graduate who loves the English language! Apart from reading as much as possible, I write short stories and scripts, as well as some pretty awful poetry! Time and people permitting, I make some of my scripts into short films, but my time at the moment is going into my novel! They say there's one in all of us, but they forget to add that that is where it should stay...

Experience

Apart from my creative endeavours, I have earned my daily bread in the education sector. I began in 2011, teaching English in the rural northeast of Thailand. After returning to the UK in late 2012, I took up a role in Manchester Academy High School as a Teaching Assistant. In this role I worked across all years, with mainstream, SEN (special educational needs) and EAL (English as an additional language) students. During this time, I gained my CELTA (Certificate for Teaching English to Adult Learners)qualification. I also privately tutor several students from my own home.

I hold a BA in English and Film from Manchester Metropolitan University.
