My background

I am a fully trained and qualified teacher with over 23 yrs experience in primary school education both in the UK and South Africa. I am passionate about education and believe that before all else, the individual needs of the child are paramount. I seek to tailor my lessons to enable the student to reach their optimal potential.

Experience

I studied psychological counselling followed by a PGCE in South Africa and immigrated to the UK in 2018 and have worked as a long term supply teacher in 2 prominent academy schools, teaching Year 1 and then Year 5.
My teaching career started in 1993. I see education as a progressive career, however with the fast pace world of technology, online teaching offers a far more progressive approach to teaching than the classroom. It is important to embrace these modern day privileges in a way that empowers the next generation.
