As well as my degree in History I also worked to a high standard throughout my education in English (literature) and Religious Studies/Philosophy. My passions outside of academic work are mostly centred around theatre and sport, and my experience of performing has taken me to Edinburgh Fringes and Off Broadway. I'm most at home with 20th Century history and this is reflected in my university dissertation (on British fascism in the inter-war period) but as an historian am more than willing to dive into whatever topic may be required in for this tutoring and really help you to develop your answers and understanding. So much of doing good work in history is about knowing what to look for, what questions to ask and how to channel your knowledge. I have recent experience working as an au pair so I'm comfortable working with a range of ages and can't wait to get started helping you develop your skills!
Having just left a post working as an au pair my most recent experience is in childcare spanning both primary and secondary school. My academic experience of achieving well in school and then enjoying the process of studying history at university has perfectly prepared me to engage in studies for older students, a role I particularly enjoyed when coaching my younger brother through his GCSEs and then A Levels.
