My background

I am an individual who is very driven and has taken steps to increase my own development. A focused health and well-being graduate with a 2:2 degree, specialising in Social care and Deaf studies. I have a proven record of being able to work within a team environment and have the ability to show my leadership skills with minimal supervision. My work is always of a high standard as I manage my time efficiently and effectively at all times. Having worked full time during my time at university followed by being promoted to a managerial role, I now aim to secure myself with a job that is suited with my degree.

Experience

During my time at university I did a placement at broadmeadow specialist school. This is where I was able to Communicate with staff and children in an appropriate manner, conducted a DBS check, gave ideas of daily activities for children, ethusiastic with children
Able to develop new skills such as sensory play
Handled challenging situations such as a child having an outburst
Involving myself with children such as reading, cooking, cleaning them.
Making sure there was no health and safety issues at the start and end of the day
Use of interactive play
Using pictures and symbols to make sure children with autism/ADHD understand more clearly.
