My background

I am a young, passionate student, keen to share my love of maths, politics and economics with the next generation of students. I myself benefited greatly from one to one tuition and I hope to be able to help others in the same way.

I have strong A levels in Maths, Politics and Economics; achieving ABB. I am currently in my second year of my undergraduate degree at the University of Manchester studying a joint honours degree in Politics and Economics.

Experience

I worked as an informal tutor as part of scheme run by my Sixth Form College to pair older students with GCSE students struggling with their maths as well as other subjects. During this scheme I helped year 10 and 11 students with their exam preparation and any particular areas that they were not confident in that perhaps their teacher did not have time to go back over in lesson time. During my sessions I placed particular focus on exam skills and learning to recognise patterns within examination papers in order to achieve the best possible result.

Qualifications

I achieved 3 A*s and 7 As at GCSE level, followed by ABB at A level in Maths, Economics and Politics. And I am currently on course to achieve a First Class Honours in Politics and Economics from the University of Manchester.
