I love learning and information, and I have spent most of my working life in academic environments (Almost 30 years!) I like helping students with their particular needs, with tailored learning and to develop their skills and abilities. I use a lot of different methods and styles, depending on the student, and the subject.
I have a series of qualifications from different institutions, ranging from teaching qualifications like PTTLS and TEFL, to Bachelor's degrees in English; Theology; Psychology and Information science. I have a Masters in Information Science, and am an expert at research, academic writing etc.
I love cats, and have 6 of them, who rule my house. I love to read, and do crafts like cake decorating. I enjoy films and love to write, both for pleasure and publication.
I love teaching, and I enjoy helping students in a 1:1 capacity. I have taught a wide range of subjects and ages. At present I teach English to students in China, ranging in age from 4 to adult. I have lectured theology at University level, taught High school English first language in South Africa; taught media skills in primary school. and research and information skills at college and University level. I have private students that I tutor on an individual basis, on assignment and essay structure; language and research. I am a published short story writer, and I love creative writing.
