My background

My name is Oliver Painter but I prefer Oli. I have been a teacher for over 10 years and have taught in 5 different countries around the world. I love to travel and experience new things and this is why I love teaching. Learning about new places, cultures and people has pushed me to see and travel more. I am an avid reader and have a few hobbies to keep me active.
I create my own lessons and tailor them towards my students needs, these lessons focus on building key skill areas and using them in practice. I am a very open person and happy to discuss and debate different topics. Questions are always encouraged to promote dynamic and enjoyable lessons that help students progress and address areas of need.

Experience

I am a very enthusiastic and active teacher who loves seeing students progress and develop. I take great joy in teaching and encouraging others to learn. I focus on my students needs and have a very flexible and adaptive teaching style which creates a comfortable and approachable teaching environment for my students.
I have a CELTA qualification and 5 years of experience from various teaching positions, the majority of which focus on ESL and Business English. I have a Degree in Biology with honors and have previously worked for 6 English language schools as a teacher and 1 school as a residential warden.
