My background

I received my primary education in French at the Lycee Francais Charles de Gaulle. a french institution located in South Kensington. There. I learned many subjects in conjunction which was great for my general education. I also learned to work hard as school days were long and homework was plentiful.

At 16 years old, one year before I would have taken the Baccalaureate exam, I decided to leave the Lycee and study A-levels at St Francix Xavier Sixth Form College. I could concentrate on the subjects I loved: Maths and Computer Science. I really enjoyed the teaching during my 2 years in St Francis and I came out of it with good grades.

For university, the University of Manchester came to be my choice. I have spent 4 wonderful years there studying Mathematics. I have just finished very successfully though I have not yet officially graduated. I expect a result above 80% and I will have an official certificate by early August.

I am now taking a year to do some independent work and research. After the next year is over, I have options to go for a PhD, gravitate towards a more corporate career or even work
independently. I am not yet decided.

Experience

My tutoring experience started when I was 14/15 years old. I got opportunities from word of mouth and posting ads online usually to tutor 1-to-1 at the pupil's home. During my high school years, I spent more than a hundred hours tutoring maths and other subjects to younger or similarly aged children.

For 3 years of my time at university, I delivered tutoring on behalf of the Tutor Trust, an educational charity. I would teach groups of 3 pupils after hours at their school.
I also completed a 4-week internship at Chorlton High School during the summer of 2018. My responsibilities there included creating and delivering lessons as well as safeguarding children.
Otherwise, I've completed a Mathematics Education course unit as part of my degree which involved learning some educational theory, applying them in tutoring activities with schoolchildren in local schools and delivering essays on educational theory and experience.

Over my tutoring experience, it has been my pleasure to meet many wonderful faces from many backgrounds. I've continuously improved my organisation, my patience and my understanding of people, how to adapt to each pupil to help them achieve their best.
