My background

I am a Space Science and Engineering: Space Technolgy Master's student at the University College London, who has also achieved a Bachelor in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Surrey. I picked up a key-interest in Physics during my secondary school years which fuelled my ambition to study Space. I am now propelling my career towards Space Engineering in the hopes to work in an influential Space agency. In my spare time I enjoy creative activities such as playing guitar or dancing; I have been break-dancing since the age of 15 and I have managed to perform across the United Kingdom, teach classes to children and adults and also managed the Breakdance Society at the University of Surrey. My passion for dancing has also allowed me to join in organising charity and community events. I believe that each individual possesses tremendous capabilities and with enough hard work, aspiration and support these can be achieved.

Experience

During my A-level years I assisted my mathematics teacher in his GCSE and A-level classes, where I would approach students that had questions and help them complete their given tasks, as well as demonstrating questions and examples on the board. I am currently part of an organization called VSTEM that present engineering and science workshops to different schools, both primary and secondary, around the U.K and internationally. So far, I have been given the opportunity to teach year 7s and 10s, in both public and private schools, where I have demonstrated unique classes and innovative experiments to enhance the students engineering and science knowledge, this includes: coding workshops, aerodynamics, structures and design engineering as well as space science and mathematics. The website can be accessed by this link for further detail: https://www.vstemschool.com .

Additionally, I was given the chance to run break-dance classes in my secondary school to students from years 8-10, and outside of school I taught various classes to young children and adults as part time work and to raise money for charity. I continued this during my 3 years at the University of Surrey, where I ran weekly breakdance sessions for beginners and intermediate dances; the classes would progress by week as the sessions ran for the whole year.
