My background

Hello! My name is Mehak! I studied Criminology and Psychology at university and now work as an English tutor and ESOL teacher. I have always had a passion for English Language and Literature, and always got the highest marks in school. Creative writing is one of my favourite things to do and I love reading too. I can be a bit of a stickler for correct grammar and punctuation, which makes this job perfect for me. Positivity is the key to succeeding and that is the motto I go by. I think learning is the best and we can have so much fun learning together! Don't be nervous, I am here to help. It's okay if you make mistakes because that is how we learn. Just keep calm and keep smiling! You can do this and I can't wait for us to get started!

Experience

I have been a volunteer and private tutor of English, both academic and general, for 8 months now. I can honestly say that there is nothing else I would rather do than teach others how to speak English. I also recently started volunteering with the NHS as a Check-in and Chat responder and as a tutor for children of NHS workers.

BTEC Subsidiary Diploma in Health and Social Care
