I am a 21 year old graduate, awaiting a BA in History.
My tutoring approach centres around positive reinforcement to ensure that students have a fundamental understanding of the skills required for efficient and successful essays. These primarily include the ability to construct a clear and nuanced argument, with the skills to substantiate their argument with detailed and relevant knowledge. The degrees of complexity regarding this structure will vary depending on the stage at which the student is at.
Skills in arguing form the basis of any effective humanities essay, and a focus on these core principles allows students to advance their learning themselves, with a better grasp of what is required for top marks.
