My background

Hi my name is Matthew Gothard and I'm a Mathematics Graduate with a First-class degree from the University of York, now I'm doing a Masters of Science in Economics at Kings College London. I've been doing Maths related activities for most of my life and I have a very keen interest in the subject and teaching it to others. I received A's at A-level in Mathematics and Further Mathematics and an A* in GCSE Mathematics, thoroughly proving my worthiness as someone knowledgeable in this area. Aside from academia I'm really active playing sports, running, cycling and going to the gym frequently each week and have a well balanced diet and lifestyle.

Experience

As for my experience it has been mostly in-person and not paid off. For instance, I provided tutoring to my younger brother throughout his a-levels and GCSE and he received excellent results, he is now studying Economics at Durham University. My main experience is the little time I have away from my tutorees, I have done the same exams they'll be preparing for in the last 6 years of my life and I'm continuing to push myself in Mathematics, showing intent to grow my own knowledge and making sure that I do not fall behind.

Qualifications

- First-class degree in Mathematics from the University of York in 2019.
- A's in Further Maths and Maths at A-level
- A* in Mathematics at GCSE
