My background

*Pro Bono Accepted* I have just completed my first year in an undergraduate physics degree at Durham University and am looking to teach secondary school level maths and/or physics. I was very successful in my secondary school exams so know how to improve test scores and prepare for examination but I'm also aware that many young learners look for more than results and love to enthuse and generate interest in physics and maths. With schools suspended due to COVID-19 I can work through new coursework, getting a jump start on next years subjects or consolidate and challenge what students have learnt this year.

Experience

I took part in a free tutoring scheme with my university, 1-2-1 tutoring, for the latter two terms of this year. There, I taught GSCE foundation maths and found great improvement in my student (from under 20% to passing past papers) before the scheme ended due to corona-virus measures.
