My background

I teach Chemistry, Physics and Maths at GCSE and A-level.

My philosophy?
1. Everyone learns at their own pace. The lights do not all come on at once.
2. Subject knowledge is King - if I understand the subject, you will understand it.
3. Learning is fun (believe me!) - let's keep it like that
4. I'm not going to spoon-feed you all the time - you need to play your part in our journey.

Experience

I haven't always been a teacher - I spent many years working in business, so I have a good understanding of how what you learn at school fits into later life (and where it doesn't!)
In my teaching career I have variously been Head of Sixth Form Maths and Head of Physics in the UK, and Head of Science for an International School in China. I am also a marker for some of the UK Exam Boards. I have extensively tutored small groups and individuals.
