Hello! I am a recent graduate and professional athlete, currently taking a career break to chase the 2021 Olympics. I have five years' experience with on-on-one tutoring at university level, primarily focusing on writing skills. I have a Master's in International Studies (with a focus on immigration law) from the University of San Francisco and a Bachelor of Arts in Public and International Affairs from Princeton University. Before university in the US, I studied English, Maths and Latin at A Level (A*AA). I have also worked as a paralegal, and plan to pursue a career in immigration law after my athletic career.
As a graduate tutor at the University of San Francisco, I conducted 2-hour tutoring sessions with undergraduate students. These spanned a range of subjects, focusing primarily on study techniques. In these sessions, my priority was not only to teach the students but to help them gain confidence in their abilities and learn skills that would help them excel throughout university.
As a writing tutor at Princeton University, I assisted fellow students with written assignments through individual, 1-hour tutoring sessions. I helped students across a variety of disciplines develop their writing and critical thinking skills. Through careful guidance and questioning, I helped students turn ideas into clear outlines, and rough drafts into strong arguments.
