My background

I am a native English speaker (British), a qualified and experienced teacher of English as a foreign language with experience in English primary schools (elementary) in all subjects.
I taught English in Spain for 4 academic years to children from age 3

Experience

I worked in a number of private language academies in Spain, teaching English to children and to adults. Classes used only English to encourage confidence in speaking, in using the language you do have to communicate what you want to say. The most enjoyable was at a school called Speaking Experience, where the emphasis was using games, activities and excursions to teach English language skills. I also taught for Trinity and Cambridge exams, at B1, B2 and C1 level. (KET, PET, and FCE).
Since returning to the UK in 2015, I have been working in schools as teaching assistant and also tutoring. I have tutored primary children (elementary) in English and maths, and worked on a 1-1 basis with pupils who have been excluded from school, working on a variety of subjects (English, maths, science, history) up to GCSE level.
I am completing a Post Graduate Cerficate in Education (Primary ) and have completed school placements in year 1 and year 4 and have experience with a variety of ages.

Qualifications

BA Honours Tourism Studies 2:1 i-to-i Teaching English As A Foreign Language including grammar, teaching 1 to 1, teaching with limited resources, teaching large groups.
Currently studying for PGCE Primary
