My background

I am a teacher who always keeps the children’s progress and well-being in mind. Currently working at Lathom Junior School which has been vastly enriching and has developed me into the practitioner I am today. Child centred. Hard working. Driven. I am confident that I can apply the wealth of knowledge and practice I have embedded in my teaching to your school.

Experience

Teacher at Lathom Junior School (2017- Present)
• I plan enriching lessons according to the curriculum where children
• I took part in various CPD sessions such as Maths- No Problem! Colourful Semantics and Read Write Inc
• I have worked with a range of children such as children with dyslexia, severe visual impairment, EAL, mobility impaired and elective mute children.
• I am committed to being an inclusive teacher, keeping all children in mind and ensuring that all children have access to my lessons. I always ensure I provide resources such as scaffolds, colourful semantics, braille worksheets, concrete, pictorial and abstract resources.
• I have had various opportunities to work with EAL beginner children who required meticulous planning and resources which will support them in their learning.

• Taught up to 80% of the curriculum
• Planned and sequenced lessons and learning journeys alongside the teacher and independently
• Participated in many CPD sessions such as safeguard training.
Private Tutor (July 2015 - 2017)

• Tutoring primary school children
• Helping them with their homework and subject areas which they find difficult
• Communicate effectively with parents and keep them updated with their children progress.
• Write daily logs of how the child is progressing online so parents can have access.

• I worked as a trainee teacher in a year 5, 2and 3 class teaching.

• Completed two safe guarding training by the head teacher
