My background

I've been a professional guitar teacher and session guitarist for over 15 years and am currently the principal guitar tutor at City of London Freemen's School.

I've played on numerous studio and live recordings for a wide variety of artists and alongside some fantastic studio musicians and producers including Dave Markee (Eric Clapton), Dan Cutrona (Joe Cocker, Bee Gees) Terl Bryant (Iona, John Paul Jones, Sadie & The Hotheads), Bryn Haworth (top U.K slide guitarist), Lynieve Austin (M People) and Henry Spinetti (George Harrison, Tina Turner, Katie Melua) as well as a few radio and TV broadcasts.

Experience

Even after 15 years as a professional guitar tutor and literally thousands of guitar lessons, teaching is still very much a passion for me. I can still remember struggling with the first chords I was shown and wondering how they were ever going to be good enough to use in a song!

Learning how to play guitar can be a frustrating process but help and advice from an experienced teacher can save you hours of wasted time and avoid the pitfall of practicing bad habits which can be very difficult to remove.
