Hi, my name is Chantelle and I’m a second year undergraduate student in Statistics at University College London (UCL).
I have experience teaching both in school and as a private tutor in Mathematics at GCSE and A-Level. I obtained an A* in GCSE Mathematics and an A* in both Mathematics and Further Mathematics A-Level.
During my time in Sixth Form, I worked part time as a tutor for a local tuition company mainly with GCSE students. I also volunteered 10 hours a week, helping GCSE and AS level students who were struggling/ behind on their work, who would not have been able to afford private tuition. Moreover, I have completed a month of work experience creating and delivering lessons for large classes of GCSE and A-Level students within a school environment.
My method of teaching is strongly dependent on how my students like to learn, whether it be question based, theory or visual. I understand the challenges that students face when it comes to subjects that they need help with and like to focus on building confidence in Mathematics rather than just teaching them methods. I like to consider myself a very friendly and approachable person, so if you have any questions please feel free to contact me!
