My background

"Maths and sport", the words I've given for over 30 years when asked what I enjoy (I'll add my family and garden to that list as I've got older!!). I am known for my encouraging nature, my belief in people and my patience. Mistakes and uncertainty are natural stages in learning and can lead to development if carefully utilised.

Experience

16 years experience as a maths teacher at secondary school and sixth form. Currently Assistant Head of Mathematics at a secondary school, previously a Deputy Head at a School Sixth Form. I continually seek professional development in order to stay up to date with current developments in mathematical teaching and learning.
