¡Hola!,
I am native speaker of Spanish from Spain. I have taught and tutored online for more than 17 years now, from kids to adults and professional. I have taught Spanish as a foreign language face to face and online in Spain, the US and Australia and online with a wide range of age ranges, from 6 to 75 years old. I am also a teacher trainer, a constant traveller and a poetry fan.
I have been a Higher education, Secondary and Primary teacher, with an UK DBS equivalent and teacher certification in Spain. Most recently I have tutored teenage students doing Spanish language in the IB school system in Australia and lectured Spanish and Education topics at Flinders University. I teach using different methodologies depending on your learning style and goals, but I focus on the three P’s structure: Presentation, Practice and Production. I think assessing your level and interests beforehand is essential to plan your learning path. I focus on helping you to communicate for real with authentic materials and situations so as you can do that with other native speakers with confidence. I am very enthusiastic and passionate about foreign language learning as a way to travel the world and know different cultures. I also believe that it is important you have fun and enjoy my culture and language so as you continue your learning journey after our classes and during your life.
I have just submitted my PhD dissertation in January 2020 on using Project Based Learning in the context of Spanish as a foreign language from Flinders University (2020). I have a Master in Teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language from Universidad Pablo de Olavide (2011) and a B.A. in English from Universidad de Sevilla (2004).
