My background

I am a recent First-Class graduate with experience teaching and working with children both abroad and in the UK. I am keen to start translating my passion for learning into tutoring online.

Experience

I taught fifteen secondary school pupils at two schools Italian over four sessions, and I applied my knowledge in a new context, and even though I prepared lessons, flexibility was key, as I learnt the importance of adapting according to the personalities in each lesson.

Represented the University of Manchester for the ‘Viva Languages’ programme over 2 weeks, where I organised activities for hundreds of primary school children, inspiring them to learn new languages at universities.

Looked after a disabled child when the single mother was at work, which involved me forging strong relationships, whilst adapting to a new culture, speaking only Italian, and most importantly caring for someone else. This was challenging but deeply rewarding, as I constantly learnt how to interact with someone with emotional and physical difficulties that can be so impairing but was also inspiring.
