My background

I have always had a passion for learning languages from a young age. I used to struggle with getting to grips with grammar until I had private tuition. This has sparked my interest in teaching Spanish online as I believe one to one teaching is the most effective way to build confidence whilst learning a language. I have studied Spanish since primary school and achieved an A* at A-level. Teaching children has always come naturally to me. I have previously au-paired in Spain teaching English to Spanish children which has given me great experience in tailoring my teaching style to each individual to ensure that they can progress at their own pace.

Experience

I am currently teaching beginners Spanish to a mature student on a one-to-one basis. The classes include speaking and listening practice, grammar and vocabulary. I use a range of techniques to make the lessons engaging such as presentations, games and music.

I have au-paired for a Spanish family in the north-east of Spain for two summers. My responsibilities included teaching the children two hours of English a day, helping with summer homework and supervising and entertaining the children at the house.

I worked as a nursery assistant part-time around my A-level studies. My responsibilities included supervising children, assisting with feeding and engaging children in play. I am fully DBS checked.

I am currently living and working in Barcelona so get to practice my own Spanish everyday.
