My background

I have experience of teaching to small class sizes and to students of all abilities. I like my lessons to give students confidence in their learning, so that they are able to use the skills they learn in my lesson to help them understand exam questions and answer them effectively. This confidence also then helps students appreciate the science they are learning and how it is useful/applies to their everyday lives.

Experience

I am a fully qualified teacher in the UK, with a Biochemistry degree. I have been teaching science in secondary schools for 10 years to both KS3 and KS4 students and I am familiar with the new GCSE science syllabus and grading system. I have also been Deputy Headteacher for 4 years.
