My background

I am a secondary school English Teacher and have had extensive experience of teaching the English Literature and Language GCSE specification.

I have been working with students from year 7-12 for the last 3 years and are well adversed with how to effectively teach English across different abilities/ age groups.

It is vital that a student is able to receive support which is suited and unique to them which is exactly what I always aim to deliver to students seeking one to one tuition. It is imperative that the teaching is tailored to that student in order to ensure that they are given the best opportunity to achieve their goals and targets.

Experience

I have worked with many students (mostly year 10 and 11) who were sitting their GCSE English Language and Literature exams.

During the one to one sessions it is important that students not only practice content but most importantly skills which is what they will need during their exams.

- Qualified Teaching Status (QTS) through PLS SCITT
- Level 2 Advanced Mentoring and Coaching Diploma through NASBTT
- Undergraduate Degree in English Literature and Creative Writing through University of Roehampton
- A Levels through the Sydney Russell Sixth Form Consortium: English (B), Government and Politics (B) and Geography (C), AS Psychology (C).
- GCSEs through the Sydney Russell School: English Literature (B), English Language (A), Maths (B),
