My background

I am a passionate and enthusiastic primary school teacher with 12 years’ experience. I am a maths and science specialist teacher who has led both these subjects in schools for several years each. I am passionate about best practice informed by evidence-based research and am always seeking to improve my skills to help those around me learn. I help students to achieve their full potential and particularly enjoy teaching students who struggle with learning maths.

Experience

For 8 of my 12 years teaching, I have taught in Year 6, helping students to prepare or their end of primary exams. I have taught both the UK notional curriculum and the Cambridge Assessment International Primary Curriculum. I have delivered training to colleagues on maths mastery, effective feedback, using manipulatives to teach maths and teaching open ended science investigations. I have taught in schools in the UK, Thailand and Spain.
