My background

Compassionate medical student with a background in Biomedical
Sciences. The aspiration to become a physician keeps me motivated and
encourages intellectual curiosity. Intend to inculcate students with
effective and efficient learning techniques that I continue to learn as a
graduate student myself.

Experience

I have experience in tutoring primary and secondary maths students at 2 different schools. I have observed the differences in approach that a tutor has to make depending on the grade level to ensure an effective learning process. Delivering brief sessions allowed me to plan well ahead of time and search for resources that could strengthen the weaker areas of the students. Reviewing feedback and goals regularly and keeping a journal of student progress allowed to fine-tune tutoring sessions accordingly. I have also regularly attended any training from seniors and tried to improvise accordingly. Having pliable teaching methods has been appreciated by students and supervisors as it allows students to play an active role in their tutoring sessions.
