My background

I am a qualified Design and Technology teacher at Secondary level with my main subjects being Graphics and Food, I have also taught Maths, Special Educational Needs (Behaviour and Emotional difficulties) and general Secondary and Primary supply work. I am also a fully qualified Person Centred Therapist with experience of working with young people (Under 18) in a therapeutic capacity. I am a highly skilled teacher and therapist with a depth of different experience working with young people. I have experience of working online as a Therapist and believe these skills are transferable to teaching online too.

I have a range of life experiences and am a strong, driven and ambitious person and have always made my students or clients needs my priority to provide a first class service.

Experience

I have taught a range of different age groups and subjects as a supply teacher including English and Science. I have worked as a Maths teacher for half a term in a secondary school as well as having taught it as a supply teacher. I am a Design and Technology Specialist teacher, my main subjects are Graphics which I have taught up to A'Level and Food which I have taught up to GCSE level. I also have experience of teaching Woodwork and Manufacturing to GCSE level.

I have worked for a year in a Special Needs school for permanently exculded students with Emotional and Behavioural issues, teaching across the secondary age group and across the enitre curriculum.

I worked for Construction Skills looking after Apprentice Stone Masons and Carpenters, ensuring that they were able to complete their NVQ's at college by working with them on Portfolios and liasing with their lecturers and employers and ensuring safety and practical experience on site.

I am a qualified as a Person Centred therapist and have some training experience in CBT too. I work in a local secondary school with young people in a Counselling capacity and run a Counselling agency, BrainHub CPW.
