My background

I am currently completing my final year of my Pharmacology Bsc with honours at Newcastle University. My next goal is to complete my masters and PhD, with the aim to become a research scientist. I am extremely passionate about science and value any opportunity to pass this on through education.

Experience

During my time at school I assisted in the science club and help sessions, offering support to students with their learning, as well as completing work experience in a special needs school.
I carried this on with my involvement in Newcastle Universities science outreach learning and resource program (SOLAR). This involved travelling to local schools and running science sessions on various topics such as anatomy and DNA to students in years 1-13. Tailoring sessions to the students ability and maintaining engagement with a class of 20-30 pupils.

Qualifications

I have completed both GSCE and A Level qualifications, as well as passing the 11+ to attend Bourne Grammar School. My results were as follows:
GCSE: 4 A*s and 7 A's (including Maths, Science and English)
A Level: Biology (A), Chemistry (B), Religious Studies (A) and Extended Project Qualification (A*)
I am completing my third year of my bachelors degree and averaged at 2.1 in my second year exams.
