My background

I am a qualified Primary school teacher with experience of working with a range of ages and needs. I have over five years experience working with Primary aged children. I have a PGCE in Primary education and have successfully completed my induction year. At the moment, I teach lower KS2 but have worked across all year groups. I started my career in education by gaining a TEFL and teaching English as a foreign language in South East Asia, after this I worked as an au pair in Germany. In the UK I have worked as a TA in upper KS2 before commencing my teacher training. Since then, I have experience in all year groups, including Early Years. I strive to create engaging lessons, tailored to each child. Learning should be fun and I use motivational hooks to make learning as interesting as possible, relating to the child's own experiences where possible. Along side the child's learning, I give children as many opportunities as possible to build on the child's speaking and thinking skills, promoting a love of learning through development of communication. I can provide lessons in Reading, Writing and Maths in line with the UK National Curriculum. Even though we will be learning together in a virtual classroom, I will build a rapport with your child to ensure effective, fun learning.
