My background

I am a highly passionate, creative and dedicated Head of Performing Arts at a private school in beautiful North Wales, where I teach Drama, Music & Media from Year 3 to Year 13.
My sense of humour and ability to cope with last minute changes with a smile are my best qualities as a teacher.
I still work in the industry when I can, most recently performing as Prince Charming in Hansel & Gretel at Theatr Clwyd. In Nov 2020, I shall be performing my own composed music on flute for the Death of a Salesman play at Theatr Clwyd.

Experience

I have been teaching for 13 years and have an excellent track record for exam results for GCSE, AS/A Level and BTEC as well as Trinity, ABRSM, Rock School and Yamaha Play For Keeps grades.
I have directed at least 30 large scale school performances, for example directing an end of year concert featuring a choir of over 200 pupils, Christmas Carol services every year, summer concerts every year and large scale musicals or plays every year. I have successfully entered my pupils into a wide variety of competitions and events, for example the Shakespeare Schools Foundation performing Romeo & Juliet at Stiwt Theatre with excellent reviews, my pupils winning a variety of the ISA Arts competitions and the Rotary Youth Musician competitions.
