My background

Hi everyone, my name is Kay. I'm a caring and passionate tutor with extensive experience in and outside the classroom. I believe everyone deserves to feel happy, confident and proud of their learning.
My approach is all about creating an encouraging, supportive environment, We focus on securing content-knowledge and exam techniques to build proficiency in the subject. Students are encouraged to feel safe in learning from mistakes, ask questions, build independence and enjoy the subject. I check in during exam seasons to ensure the student is sufficiently prepared.
I believe in building strong partnerships with parents through communication, working together to help students achieve their best.

Experience

I have taught across Birmingham in various schools and have taught a wide age range. I also have experience as an AQA Psychology examiner.

Qualifications

I have a First-class degree in Psychology, a qualification in Counselling Skills and a Masters in Mental Health.
Additionally, I am a qualified primary teacher with QTS, years of classroom experience and an Enhanced DBS.
