My background

My name is John and I have spent 3 years teaching in secondary schools about my favourite things, which is obviously a dream come true. I've taught KS3, GCSE and A Level Maths and Science, as well as a bit of football coaching and even the odd bit of Latin here and there for those of you with a taste for something a bit more ancient. My superpower is my ability to take even the most complex concept and explain it in different ways to different levels of ability or understanding, suited to the needs of each individual. Not everybody needs to understand EXACTLY what's going on, so if you don't need the ins and outs I can give you as much as you need without getting too involved. If you NEED the in depth then I'm very able to climb down that rabbit hole with you!

Experience

I have taught in a range of secondary schools over the last 5 years, amounting to 3 years teaching experience. I have taught exam classes and achieved excellent results in Maths and Physics across all key stages and have complete lesson banks for every topic in both curricula. I have even taught fellow educators the subject matter and method of instruction for how exactly to deliver some areas of the course, having taught several teachers how to teach A-level mechanics to their classes.
I am an excellent communicator in both writing and verbal format and my passion for what I'm discussing shines through in every single one of my lessons.
