I am an illustrator who specialises in line drawing and digital drawing. I graduated with a 2:1 from the University of Brighton in 2019, having completed my Foundation Degree at Central Saint Martins.
Drawing begins at technical knowledge - still life drawing, learning the rules of perspective and proportion, and finding a student's preferred toolset. From there I encourage them to utilise this knowledge as far as their creativity can span. The world is made up of simple shapes - I emphasise the importance of nailing the basics with my students to give them the crucial tools to run free with their art and their imagination.
I taught illustration regularly for three years at a holiday scheme in Chiswick. My students have ranged from 8 years to 17years, so I am well versed in what each age group finds enjoyable and productive to learn.
I know the education system well - my knowledge has helped boost students in their skillset and their grades.
My highest achievement was working with a student over the course of two years, who went from an expected C in A-Level Graphic Design to an expected A (their results are this summer, 2020 - wish them luck!).
