My background

Hi, my name is Georgie and I am looking for some new tutoring students having just completed my first year at the University of Oxford.

I grew up in London but moved with my family to Australia for secondary school. I received 41 diploma points in the International Baccalaureate exam (equivalent to A*A*A in A Levels) and was accepted to Oxford where I am now in my second year of reading Politics, Philosophy, and Economics. As a tutor I have worked with both high-achievers and those who need more help. I am very friendly and patient, and try to improve my students work management skills and academic confidence as well as their subject-specific knowledge.

I am also available for personal statement editing and help with UK university applications. I applied as an international student so I understand the need for further support when applying and I have helped students from my secondary school in Australia with their applications, many of which were ultimately successful.

Experience

I have tutored full time for over a year as well as informal work throughout high school and university. I have worked with a wide range of students both in person and online.

Qualifications

- Top grades in International Baccalaureate Diploma (41 points overall)
- Consistently first-class essays during first year of study at Oxford
- First Aid qualified
- DBS check in addition to Australian equivalent (blue card)
