My background

I am an experienced teacher of art & design/ photography as of 24 years experience working with AQA,OCR, & edexcel exam groups. If you need help with time management, going through your portfolio, sketchbook annotations, technique application, how to get that grade A**/9 or just motivation to get the work done, then I am here to help.
What I think is the most important thing about my teaching technique is that I like to keep things positive! So usually I like to start my sessions by talking about what we may have learnt or what we feel happy with in order to set the session off to a great start. I also like to talk about our aims, what we want to achieve within that session or within the next few sessions. By setting these short-term goals; not only does it make the prospect of learning all the content for exams slightly less daunting but also increases confidence as we will be achieving these small goals constantly.

Experience

I have 23 years experience teaching ks1 through to foundation at university. I have been working in the independent and state sectors.

Qualifications

Pgce in art and design
BA hon’s theatre design
BTec HND in spatial/ interior design
BTec OND in 3 dimensional design
