My Background

Hello! My name is Emily and I am a masters student in neuroscience at University College London. My primary background in science, and especially biology, cognition, and human systems. I also have an extensive background in history, art history, performance studies, English language and literature, and writing. My favorite kind of tutoring is in essay writing, for both the humanities and the sciences, but I also love covering content. I believe learning works best when the concepts don't get lost in the details, so I work with students to develop a clear understanding of guiding principles, leading into a deeper understanding of the subject as a whole. I also believe that learning works best when you work with your brain, so I help students to develop healthy study habits to maximize understanding and minimize stress.
