I'm a highly qualified and knowledgeable teacher with a passion for learning which I pass on to my students. I've been teaching for 6 years in inner-London Primary schools, so I've seen it all! No matter what you're struggling with in English, I can help you achieve more than you thought possible.
Each lesson will be tailored to you, and what you would like to improve, based on what you are already confident doing. I always start with the basics and build up so that every student has a firm foundation in the key skills they need.
For the last 6 years I have been teaching primary school children in inner London to read and write with confidence. Many of them struggle with English as a second language, dyslexia or autism, and I tailor my lessons accordingly.
Before completing my PGCE to qualify as a teacher, I worked in literary agencies and editors' offices, proofreading and guiding authors on how to improve their fiction writing for publication.
My Cambridge degree included rigorous research and essay-writing every week, which gave me an excellent grounding in structuring non-fiction writing, arguments and theses. It also covered early English and Latin, which means I understand the morphology and origin of English words extremely well.
