My background

Hello,
I am a tourism professional with over 12 years of working in the travel and tourism industry. I have worked within Business Development, Travel Sales, and as a Product Manager.
I have a Masters of Science degree in Responsible Tourism Management and am passionate about ethical tourism.
I would love to share this knowledge with you and also help young graduates to get the most out of their travel and tourism careers!

Experience

I have travelled extensively since I was young. I completed a BA degree in Sociology with Development Studies at the University of Sussex. After that, I flew to Costa Rica and spent 4 months working on an eco-tourism venture with a local family. From there I moved to San Diego California where I worked for a number of hotels.
I returned to the UK to complete a Masters of Science in Responsible Tourism Management, then returned to California where I worked originally for an NGO focussing on global health education and inter-cultural exchange, and then a Student travel agency.
In 2012 I returned to the UK, where I worked in Business Development for Corporate Traveller, and then in Sales and Product Manager for a luxury travel company and Scandinavia tour operator.

Qualifications

A-Levels - Geography A*, Dance A/S A*, English Literature B, Sociology B
BA Hons - Sociology with Development Studies from the University of Sussex
MSc - Responsible Tourism Management from the University of Greenwich
