My teaching style encompasses the life and work experiences I have had in the countries I have lived in (UK, USA, Brazil, Kenya, Uganda). I am able to connect easily with students and enjoy helping with problems and exams at GCSE and A-Level, Maths, Physics, Business Studies, and Computing.
I completed my A levels in Maths, Physics, Chemistry, and Further Maths at Queen Elizabeth's School in Barnet, and later an MEng degree in Electronic and Information Engineering from Imperial College before working as a financial analyst at Barclays Capital.
I am very flexible and innovative in my methods - managing to teach school kids and adults English in various settings in Brazil from private to public schools. I also taught Maths and Physics in Portuguese a language I was still in the process of mastering during my time as a volunteer in a village in Bahia in Brazil. I have mentored students at Maths and Science up to GCSE level, and students learning to program on data science bootcamps.
